Many thanks Into The Abyss; whilst Bullet isn't expensive, certain issues are tricky to find and I'm enjoying the hunt!Into The Abyss wrote: 05 Aug 2023, 10:40Well done jim244 for your recent finds, especially your Bullet issue no' 147.jim244 wrote: 04 Aug 2023, 08:46 Got a few 1976/77/78 Bullet issues, collecting these at the moment, wonderful to get the elusive final issue 147 .![]()

Yeah, I agree. Great comic the Bullet. It's the achievement of sourcing issues to complete a collection the main draw for me. Personally, being a horror fan loved the Werewolf story.jim244 wrote: 06 Aug 2023, 02:52Many thanks Into The Abyss; whilst Bullet isn't expensive, certain issues are tricky to find and I'm enjoying the hunt!Into The Abyss wrote: 05 Aug 2023, 10:40Well done jim244 for your recent finds, especially your Bullet issue no' 147.jim244 wrote: 04 Aug 2023, 08:46 Got a few 1976/77/78 Bullet issues, collecting these at the moment, wonderful to get the elusive final issue 147 .![]()

Re: What comics did you buy today?
A few comics left in the charity shop window this morning and it was only when I went into the shop and picked one up that I noticed the prices had been reduced.
Bought the Tom Mix comic ( L.Miller & son Ltd London ) which was reduced from £5 to £2.50.

Comics that were left were Tonto the sidekick of the lone ranger reduced from £5 to £2.50 and Captain Gallant from £15 to £4, plus Some 80s Dandy comics that were originally £2 each but looking at the label it was unclear whether these had been reduced.
Due to the fact I work to a budget I will buy the Tonto comic if it is available next week.
Many of the old westerns included singing cowboys such as Roy Rogers , Gene Autrey , Tex Ritter and others.
I can't recall Tom Mix singing.
All still galloping along of course on Youtube

Does that mean you’ve already got 2 Specials, as there are 5 in total? The Spinechillers one is the toughest to get.Into The Abyss wrote: 10 Aug 2023, 20:24 Got myself issues 1 to 13 & 15 of the 1984 Scream comic in fine cond. Re: What comics did you buy today?
Sorry, should have been more clearer. Correct there are 5 specials in total , 6 if you include the 2017 reboot. I've got the first holiday special from 1985 and 86 having bought those years ago with a lot of Hammer Halls of Horror mags, but I'm yet to get the specials 87, 88 and the the infamous rare as hens teeth 1989 Spinechiller issue.Adam Eterno wrote: 11 Aug 2023, 08:02Does that mean you’ve already got 2 Specials, as there are 5 in total? My interest was sparked again with my brother buying me a copy of no.1 with free gift teeth, and ironically like a bus another copy of no 1 & 2 with free gifts turned up and he bought those for me too. I then within the past week sourced issues 1 to 13 & 15 off ebay with only issue #14 plus those specials mentioned yet to get. Not sure if I'll buy the reboot issue from 2017 being a purist but my main focus is getting those three outstanding issues mentioned.

Recently I sourced a Red Dwarf Smegazine issue no.8 from October 1992 to marry up with a peice of original Red Dwarf Androids comic strip art with colour overlay that I purchased direct from the artist himself Kevin F Sutherland.

Today I received the 'MY FAVOURITE SOCCER STARS' complete album with all cards inside. This was originally given away free with Buster between February 7th 1970 and February 28th 1970.
